The Cross Keys

- Manageress Heather trying to take an order from a notorious local family!
- Our signature dish – T-bone steak
- Part of the games area- just needs some players!
- “Who needs a beer when I’ve got a glass of chilled wine, fresh ground coffee and a smile?”
- Side elevation of the original, traditional Black and White “Cross Keys” with the new 70 seat first floor restaurant which has expansive views of the Pennines and Lakeland fells.
- Restaurant reception bar with disabled access leading through to easy access dining room and stairs to first floor “Kyloes” Grill.
Totally renovated, the Cross Keys continues a centuries old tradition of hospitality with a strong emphasis on values that make the English pub a unique institution. Like the Highland Drove, the Cross Keys is essentially a local pub that has the added benefit of serving excellent food. In the winter a roaring wood burning fire greets you as does the wide selection of lagers, beers and real ales, plus an excellent choice of wines and driver-friendly soft drinks. Traditional pub games such as darts, dominoes and pool are available or participate in the best aspect of pub life – banter!
Judging by the amount of people who have been visiting in their droves -sorry about the pun – The Cross Keys has hit the right balance and provided the people of Penrith and the surrounding villages with a landmark new local.
